Calendar Year Deductible

A calendar year deductible is met once per year, no matter how many property claims are filed in that time frame. After it’s paid once, any additional claims within that same calendar year won’t require another deductible.

Common In: Less common in standard homeowner policies but may appear in bundled or custom property insurance plans.

Example: You file a $6,000 hail damage claim in March and pay your $2,000 deductible. If another storm causes damage in September, you won’t pay another deductible that year.
