Pipe Burst  |  January 2024  |  Minot, North Dakota

Extreme cold caused a 4-inch pipe to burst, damaging 20 hotel rooms. The carrier initially acknowledged coverage but soon shifted blame to the sprinkler system maintenance company, canceled the policy, and alleged a coinsurance penalty. Our team conducted a forensic inspection, proving the damage resulted from weather conditions. We also refuted the coinsurance claim with evidence showing the carrier’s own valuation of the property. Business interruption and content loss evaluations are ongoing, but we continue to advocate for the policyholder’s full recovery.

Insurance Carrier: Full Denial & Canceled Policy
